Our Story
Hayday Farms started as a hobby – Gardening like so many do. For many years having a 2000 sq ft organic vegetable garden we were able to grow most of the vegetables we needed for our family. We grow all the typical veggies – several lettuce varieties, a few radish varieties, arugula, endives, a few kale varieties, collard greens, snow peas, peas, carrots, beets, bush and pole beans, zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, onions, etc… along with a full array of herbs.

But then I grew garlic and in one season it became my favorite crop. Here’s the deal with growing your own garlic: Fresh garlic is much stronger so you can either use less or enjoy a stronger garlic flavor. I was most surprised by how much better the garlic was than what we can purchase at the grocery store. So, like tomatoes, we don’t buy any garlic anymore – we can grow all we need for a year and so can you! We will have all the information you need to get started growing your own garlic or purchasing it for personal culinary use.
